Tetto al Biranco

As part of the Erasmus+ BIP program involving the Polytechnic University of Turin, the Elisava School of Design and Engineering in Barcelona, and the Strate School of Design in Paris, a high-altitude micro-architecture was created over the course of a week: a bivouac-belvedere in Ormea, in the province of Cuneo.

The micro-architecture is called Tetto al Biranco and consists of a bivouac-belvedere positioned along the Balconata di Ormea at 1450 meters altitude, in the heart of the alpine landscape. Coordinated by the GRRIZ studio and constructed in a week by 20 students from the three schools, the structure was built using spruce and chestnut wood and features a pentagonal shape reinterpreted in a contemporary style.

The temporary exhibition OB-SERVING THE LANDSCAPES, which showcases the results of the photography workshop Qui non c’è il mare, is also part of the same project. It is a visual investigation  within the community and territory of Ormea. My pictures were dedicated to the local community.
